Tacony can do Made in America Vacuums

imagesWhen a lot of  American Manufacturer’s are closing down  their Factories in the USA and sending jobs overseas. The  Tacony Company the makers of the the Riccar and Simplicity vacuum cleaner brands  says count us out on that, already making all of their upright vacuum cleaners in their  St James Missouri Factory are now in the process of expanding the factory to be able to build their Canister line here in the USA to.  Could it be offering high quality vacuums at a great price be the secret to their success.

Not Your Mother’s Vacuum

Now that I am getting real close to the mid century mark the big 50! and being in the vacuum industry for over have of those  years got me reminiscing of how the vacuum industry has change in those 28 years.  OK the first few years were a blur as my first job in the vacuum industry was a warehouse job unloading vacuum cleaners and supplies from large Semi Truck and stocking the parts to customer service for over hundreds of vacuum dealers from the west coast and now owing my own retail store for the last nine years.

One of the big change is the quality of the vacuum that we  grew up with. A lot of the quality brands that were owned and made here in the USA  are now owned and made in china and other Asian countries.  Companies like Hoover, Dirt devil, Royal are now owned by a large Chinese Company TTI .  ITS not that China can make quality products its the Chanel they the manufacturer’s use to sell their product The trend has been leaning toward a throw away society  nurtured by by the big discount box stores competing  for the lowest prices and as the price get lower ever year so goes the quality of vacuum that you will find at  those  big box store. So when looking at vacuums and you spot that brand that mother or maybe your grand mother  might of owned its probably the same in name only ..

Another Trend that I see these day is in the change of the Quality of the local Vacuum Shop and their  Owners,  I remember in my early days in the vacuum industry that  alot of  Vacuum shops were consider vacuum repair shops and were a little dirty where today most Vacuum retail stores are clean and and sell quality vacuum  but where you still get your old vacuum fixed.  Todays most  quality made  Vacuum manufacturer’s will not sell their vacuum though discount big box stores,  and can only be found though thier  dealer network of small Independent vacuuum shops

In Search For A Great Vacuum Cleaner

Great News for Consummers in my many years in the vacuum cleaner business (over 25 years)
there has not been a time that consumers have had so many choices of Great Vacuum cleaner manufacturers and a wide selection of vacuum cleaners to choose from.

Even though the vacuum cleaner industry has changed for the most part for the best, the adbundance of great vacuum manufacturers and wide selection of vacuums may cause confusion to which vacuum to purchase. I suggest use the internet as a tool to gather information, talk with family members and friends, and go to your Local Independent Vacuum Cleaner Dealer! Try a few  models and check out all the Brands in the store and ask your Local Dealer questions to make sure the vacuum has the options for your cleaning needs. Your Local Dealers are the ones who will be servicing and repairing all vacuums, so they have seen it all!
